Participant Prerequisite: Aboriginal children and youth ages 0 to 19 and their families, referred by community professionals, or who are self-referred. Community professionals may include, but are not limited to: school teachers, councilors, family support workers, and MCFD social workers.

NIL YEK OLs (Nilth Yokes) Sexual Abuse Intervention Program provides counselling and support services to Aboriginal children and their families who have been sexually abused or whom are acting out sexually. Services offered combine therapeutic interventions with culturally appropriate practices.
Hulitan referrals can come from community professionals ie. school teachers, councilors, family support workers, MCFD social workers. can refer to the Aboriginal Child and Youth Mental Health Program(ages 6-12), or the Sexual Abuse Intervention Program(ages 0-19)
Self referrals are also excepted to Ab.CYMH and SAIP.
Our goal is to help children and their families and the community recover from the trauma of sexual abuse and to heal from the historical and present impacts of sexual abuse.
• Trauma counselling, historical and present.
• Grief and loss counselling.
• Family healing.
• Spiritual needs; healing through cultural practices.
• More Aboriginal children will be able to continue to live within or be returned to their communities and families.
• Communities and families will experience safety and more awareness in reference to sexual abuse and the its impacts.

All counselors abide by two Codes of Ethics, the Traditional Native Code of Ethics, as well as, the British Columbia Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics.
The Society maintains a , Grievance Policy and Appeals Process by which a client can file a grievance, without any retaliation or barriers to services. All concerns are important to us.
