Program Prerequisite: Aboriginal families living in M'akola Group of Societies housing complexes within the South Island and Duncan.
M'akola Housing Tenant Support Services is a short-term service, that provides M'akola Housing tenants with support, education, and appropriate referrals in order to aid in tenancy preservation and maintenance.
The philosophy of the program is to provide opportunities for tenants to address issues that may impact their tenancy and maintain their housing situation in order to diminish the risk of homelessness.

• Support maintaining tenancy
• Support for Elders or persons with restricted capability
• Aboriginal people will feel more empowered and demonstrate an increased capacity within their community and families.
• Fewer urban Aboriginal families will be evicted from subsidised housing or experience homelessness.

All counselors abide by two Codes of Ethics, the Traditional Native Code of Ethics, as well as, the British Columbia Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics.
The Society maintains a , Grievance Policy and Appeals Process by which a client can file a grievance, without any retaliation or barriers to services. All concerns are important to us.
